Sarah Link earns Certified Association Executive credential

Madison, MS —The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) has announced that
Sarah Link, Associate Executive Director of the Mississippi Optometric Association (MOA) has
earned the Certified Association Executive (CAE®) designation. The CAE is the highest
professional credential in the association industry.
-Link has been an active member of Mississippi Society of Association executives for over five years
and is active in TheLOT (Leaders of Tomorrow) which is the young professional group within MSAE.
She served as a member of the MSAE Board of Directors in 2016 and 2017 and was recently elected
to serve as MSAE Treasurer in 2018 and 2019.
-Link is a graduate of Belhaven University and a juried member of the Craftsmen's Guild of Mississippi
in the Metal-Jewelry category. Additionally, she is a volunteer running coach for third-fifth grade girls
with Girls on the Run of Central Mississippi.
-To be designated as a Certified Association Executive, an applicant must have a minimum of three
years experience with nonprofit organization management, complete a minimum of 100 hours of
specialized professional development, pass a stringent examination in association management, and
pledge to uphold a code of ethics.
