Sept 09/13/17 Lunch & Learn

Visitnatchez Team

VisitNatchez sponsored Tuesday night’s Member to Member at the King Edward Hotel in Jackson, MS.  The atmosphere was relaxing yet with the bustle of action as Members socialized in the Hilton Garden Inn, Jackson Downtown (King Edward) grand lobby; enjoying crab dip, chicken wings, cutlets, cheese, fruit, vegetables and wine.

Wednesday MSAE Lunch and Learn, also sponsored by VisitNatchez, had a good turnout of Members.  Many familiar faces represented numerous associations and Industry Partners.   Always nice to see new faces during the introduction of new members and guests.  Back in the Penthouse at the Hilton Jackson Mississippi, buffet lunch of squash, baby sautéed asparagus, chicken Tuscany over rice, roll, salad and caramel sauce on pudding satisfied appetites.  Samantha Hill, Chairman of L.O.T. (Leaders of Tomorrow) and Marketing Coordinator for Mississippi Municipal League, educated Members on Social Media Use for Businesses.  The valuable tips start with establishing a solid Social Media Policy suited to your business.  The power point was spot on for Social Media guidelines for associations / businesses.   Policy structure (Purpose, Scope & Guidelines) will vary depending on the business structure.  “Great Examples of Social Media Policies” include:  Los Angeles Times, GAP, adidas, BEST BUY, HP, & Coca Cola.  For further reference, handouts were provided at the Lunch & Learn:  Social Media Policy Template, and MML Social Media Comment Policy.
